Dreich is a wonderful Scottish word meaning dull, cold, unpleasant and often wet. This track was recorded around lunchtime in late August 2020 and mother nature was doing her absolute best to throw as much rain sideways as possible. Even the hardy Scottish cattle in the next door field weren't enjoying the day. Due to the horrendous weather I placed my recording equipment just inside the back door of our little cottage, mostly in an attempt to control wind noise which was only partially successful.
